Figma MCP

Reads designs out of Figma and writes them back in. Agents get real node data and screenshots instead of my description of them.

What it is

The official Figma MCP server: agents read real design context — node structure, tokens, screenshots — straight from my files, and can write designs back in. It replaces me describing a design with the agent seeing the actual thing.

Why

Describing a design to an agent loses exactly the details that matter. Reading the real file — node data, actual values, screenshots — removes the retelling step where fidelity dies.

How I use it

Read-heavy by default: design context and screenshots ground implementation work, and my résumé pages live in Figma with the repo mirroring them. Writes are deliberate and explicit — an agent never edits a Figma frame unless I asked for that write in the current message, because version history won't always save you.

Get it

Add the Figma MCP server to your client and authenticate with your Figma account. Read tools are safe to use freely; treat writes as privileged.
